Slap Shot 2 Coming in March [5:00 AM ET]
Jessica's
new movie Slap Shot 2: Breaking the
Ice will come out on DVD on March 26, 2002 according to this bit
from DVDFILE.COM...
"Up next is a new special edition reissue of the 70's classic Slap
Shot, featuring a new 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, the original
English mono track, an audio commentary by the Hanson Brothers(1), "Classic
scenes," an original ESPN broadcast, production notes, the trailer,
and DVD-ROM extras. Debuting the same day is Slap Shot 2: Breaking
The Ice, featuring a 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, Dolby
Digital and DTS 5.1 surround tracks, interviews with the Hanson Brothers,
behind-the-scenes footage, production notes, and the trailer. Retail is
$26.95 each, and a two-pack with both Slap Shot flicks is available

ABC shuffles "The Practice" in trial run [6:40 PM ET]
ABC is moving Jessica's episode of "The Practice" (in Los Angeles and San Diego only) to the 9:00PM PT timeslot this Sunday as a test. The episode will air in the usual 10:00PM ET/PT everywhere else. For more information on this time change read the article at the link below...

Kissing Jessica Stein? [1:00 AM ET]
I was amused to find a trailer for a movie titled "Kissing Jessica Stein" when looking on Apple's Quicktime site for movie trailers. When I saw the title of the movie I had to do a double take.

It would have been pretty cool if Jessica had the lead role. "Jessica Steen in Kissing Jessica Stein".

More Details about "The Practice" Episode [12:00 PM ET]
Here is some more information about Jessica's episode of The Practice that came from TV Guide....
Inter Arma Silent Leges
Two storylines raise thorny questions regarding legal rights, law-enforcement authority and racial profiling.
The first case is apparently inspired by repercussions from the Sept. 11 attacks. An Arab-American's distraught wife (Jessica Steen) seeks help from Rebecca (Lisa Gay Hamilton) in locating her husband, who's been detained for national-security reasons that the Justice Department won't specifically reveal. In the second case, Eugene represents an accused killer, a black man whose defense hinges on cross-racial impairment: a theory that an eyewitness who's white---and unfamiliar with black people---might misidentify a black suspect.
This episode should air on Sunday, December 9th at 10:00PM EST.
It was originally reported that Jessica was playing an attorney, but based on the above synopsis of the episode that doesn't seem to be the case.

Jessica does "The Practice" Again [3:25 AM ET]
Jessica's currently shooting a new episode of ABC's series The Practice. There aren't any details about the episode or any word on when it will air (most likely next year). This will be Jessica's 2nd episode of The Practice. Jessica played a role in the episode "Marooned" that aired just over 2 years ago in 1999.

Society's Child Premiere Announced [10:15 PM ET]
Jessica's movie Society's Child will finally premiere on February 2, 2002 @ 10:00PM EST on the CBC in Canada. No word yet on airings in other countries.

Slap Shot 2 Website Up [6:30 PM ET]

has finally put up a website

the Ice. The website required the Flash plugin to see it. If you
don't have Flash, here
is a screen capture of the main page just so you can see Jessica's picture.
Still no word on a release date, but it is looking like Spring 2002.

Society's Child on CBC [9:05 PM ET]
The CBC has listed on their website a page about Jessica's movie Society's Child. The CBC doesn't have an exact date listed, but it has been added to the next seasons (2001-2002) schedule. That of course can mean anywhere from this Fall until sometime next year. Not very useful information, but I thought I would mention it since it has been so slow around here lately.

Slap Shot 2 in September? [12:00 AM ET]
Actor Gary Busey who co-stars with Jessica in the new movie Slap Shot 2: Breaking the Ice, was on The Howard Stern Radio Show a few days ago. I didn't catch the entire interview (which I hear was pretty wild) but at the end of the show Howard put a plug in for Gary saying that Slap Shot 2 was going to be in theaters in September. I haven't gotten any confirmation on this yet and I am a little skeptical. Maybe in limited release? Although the cast and crew was hoping for a theatrical release, the movie was originally shot for the direct-to-video market.

Slap Shot 2 Articles [3:20 AM ET]
videopremiereawards.com has an article about Jessica's new movie Slap Shot 2: Breaking the Ice which is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2002. The article talks about the movie being made for video as opposed to theatrical release (which the cast and crew are hoping for). There is a brief mention of Jessica in the article.

Society's Child Images [3:20 AM ET]
I know I have promised some new publicity images for Jessica's movie Society's Child, but the truth is that I haven't had much time to add them yet. However, I thought I would show a preview of one of the shots to give you an idea of what they look like. So check it out. The image might be a bit large for some people but if you are using the new beta version of Internet Explorer 6 (which works great for me even though it is a beta) it will scale the image down to the size of your display (a really nice feature).

The Jessica Steen Page move complete! [3:50 AM ET]
The webserver move that I mentioned below has been completed. Except for a few tiny issues it appears the site is working ok. I would appreciate it if anyone would email me with any problems they see on the site. The only issue I am aware of now is the page counter on the main page, which hopefully will be fixed soon.

The Jessica Steen Page is moving (again) [4:50 PM ET]
Sometime this week, The Jessica Steen Page is moving to a new server. My web host merged with another company and thus they have to move the location of the website to another location. What this means is that The JSP might be unavailable or weird for a bit. The site should be moved over to the new server before the new IP address for the website propagates throughout the net. Hopefully no one will notice when the switch takes place. I took down the messageboard for the time being until the move is complete (not that anyone is really using it anyway).
In other news I have completed scanning a ton of photographic slides of publicity photos for Jessica's new movie Society's Child (which still doesn't have an air date by the way). This collection of slides is with out a doubt the most extensive collections of publicity images I have ever aquired for any of Jessica's projects. However, it is going to take me a while to put them on the site as I have to crop, resize and add text to each one. I won't be putting up all of them as many are very similiar and I am going to wait until the site move is completed. Hopefully I will have them up by the end of the month.
