Synopsis:

Showtime Gospel is an amusing short film (about 5 min. in length) that stars Jessica Steen and Tom Butler that was made in 1989 for the Canadian Centre for Advanced Film Studies in Toronto.  The short was about a young woman named Sharon (Jessica) who comes to the studio of a tele-evangelist (Tom Butler) that she greatly admires to be interviewed on his show.  After she arrives at the studio and meets with him, she soon realizes that he isn't the great man she thought he was.

Interesting Facts: Tom Butler who starred in Showtime Gospel with Jessica also appeared in the movie Question of Privilege.

Continuity Error: During the short, Jessica's left shoe and sock is removed so that her foot can be bathed. However, when she runs out the door and down the stairs it is her right foot that is bare.  When she is back outside the bare foot is again her left one.  A curious error in such a short film.
